Saopštenje za javnost Advokatska komora Srbije najoštrije osuđuje izjavu predsednika Republike Srbije, kojom je u medijima legitimne predstavnike Skupštine Advokatske komore Srbije nazvao „ruljom“. Ove uvredljive i neprimerene izjave predstavljaju ozbiljan napad na ugled advokature i njenih predstavnika. Takođe, izjava o tome da će „neko drugi“, a ne postojeće advokatske komore, vršiti upis i brisanje advokata, kako to predviđa Zakon o advokaturi, predstavlja grubo kršenje Ustava Republike Srbije, s obzirom na to da predsednik Republike nije nadležan da donosi odluke u ovoj oblasti. Pozivamo sve organe vlasti da poštuju ustavna načela podele vlasti i da deluju u okviru svojih ovlašćenja. To je osnovni princip na kojem počiva pravni sistem Republike Srbije, a njegovo kršenje ugrožava vladavinu prava. Posebno je značajno da naglasimo da je advokatura samostalna i nazavisna služba pružanja pravne pomoći a što je eksplicitno normirano i članom 67 Ustava Republike Srbije. Ova saopštenja i postupci dolaze u trenutku kada je proglašena sedmodnevna obustava rada advokata na teritoriji Republike Srbije, kao odgovor na prethodne, neprihvatljive odluke i izjave, sa ciljem zaštite nezavisnosti i integriteta advokature. Advokatska komora Srbije poziva na poštovanje Ustava Republike Srbije zakona, u interesu svih građana Republike Srbije.
