In the market for a gravel trailer just wondering if the side dumps are worth the extra $ over a tri axle end dump. Not shopping for new yet. Used are stupid compared to new. Gravel hauler has raised his delivery rates by 100% as of today.

This customer chose to add the remote solar batteries to his Bin Sense system. These were designed to eliminate the need to change batteries in the remotes. These can be added to the current style remotes as well as the legacy remotes.

@loopholefarms They are fantastic. Have both redekop serrated and the kondex. Think the kondex has the edge.

Anyone try these kondex replacement chopper blades in an s series John Deere fine cut chopper? It’s $2100 versus $2800 Redekop, and $$$$$ for jd blades.

Do most guys opt for ladders? Guy that built our bins said nobody gets staircases for there bins. Seems like some farmers don’t love there truckers.

@tpotwilson I think in our area the future will be utilizing boundaries and seeding 5-10 percent of some 1/4’s back to grass.

@tpotwilson IMO Kochia is one of our biggest problems going forward.

In 10-15 years when the kochia are all group 2,3,4,6,9,14, and 27 resistant, is this what farming in the prairies will look like that isn’t seeded back to grass? It’s gonna suck to do it in our part of the prairies but I don’t want that many cows either.

@BDuchek No it shouldn't! Ridiculous. Our 2018 hasn't gone through that much oil yet... Anything specific I should check on this new one we are rigging up here shortly? Definitely checking over the sectional tower

Finished seeding Saturday night. I done another 30 acres of greenfeed for a friend before I moved home the next morning. Buddy came over and said there was a trail of oil all the way to our place. 🤬 About 15 miles. Puts us at just over 50 gallons of oil for seeding. #AgTwitter

@JSeimes Brake came apart in the rear right corner and made a mess. Diff had to be disassembled. Wrecked a couple pumps in the process as well. 9560r

@_24valve Diff exploded on a 9R? Seems to be a pretty common thing. Not looking forward to repair bill!

I spent hours in here getting the wiring all routed nicely and my mounts and monitors absolutely pristine and everything just right. And now my diff exploded and I’ve gotta rip it all out to get a loaner tractor.

@BDuchek @kendalwpg 2nd year now without meters. We are using phiber air pumps to fill a handler 2 and 3. Use markings on handler. Never want to see a meter again.

@kendalwpg We pump our chemical with a 2” pump that is directly plumbed into the tank on our handler. Went to a chemhandler 3 for this year so we can get 320 acres of glyphosate in one batch. Just use the marking on the sides. Gave up on all the expensive meters that never work.

I’m thinking about making some changes to the spray tender. We have overhead totes for Roundup and Liberty….would like to gravity flow them into the handler using 2in hose but need to measure it…does anyone use a flow meter with gravity? Is it accurate?
