This is what always happens with Pierre Poilievre. On April 21st he was asked what he thought about Erin O’Toole bring on Mark Carney’s new council. He said “It’s great.” He has always shown grace. He even recently said he wouldn’t trash talk the PM while in a different country. But then a few days later suddenly Erin O’Toole, who was CPC leader for 17 months, felt the need to publicly give Poilievre vague leadership advice about moderating his positions. And because Poilievre challenged a reporter to elaborate on their failed gotcha question based on O’Toole’s comments the media are all like “See how mean he is!??” Nevermind that Mark Carney once again acted dickish towards a female reporter as well. That interaction got zero coverage on the pundit panels.

Is this true?

CBC panelist just said Canadians are excited about Mark Carney getting closer to China because we’re fed up with Trump. We’re seriously talking about turning our backs on our largest trading partner to cozy up to a regime famous for censorship, total state control, and brutal human rights abuses. My boyfriend and I are planning to buy a house together after dating for 3 years. He earns significantly more than I do, so he’d be contributing about 70% of the down payment. Because of that, he wants the house to be only in his name. He says it’s just “fair” based on the numbers, but we’d both be living there, splitting bills, and building a life together. This kind of messaging signals to voters that Poilievre is incapable of self reflection and thinks he’s perfect. Poilievre has been right on a lot and wildly wrong on a lot - I can think of 5 bills off the top of my head he supported that were wrong. His hubris is his kryptonite
