Controversial or not I don't care. I am a Kannadiga myself. But Kantara was boring. Unbearable and unwatchable. I cannot pretend to like a movie simply because it appeals to my religiosity in parts. I found it unnecessarily long and boring. Screenplay is dying.

ಏಕಾಏಕಿ ಹಿಂದಿ ಭಾಷೆ ಕೈ ಬಿಡುವ ನಿಲುವು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡಿರುವುದು ಆಘಾತಕಾರಿ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆ. ಅದರಲ್ಲೂ SSLC ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿರುವ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಹಠಾತ್ ನಿಲುವು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಗೊಂದಲಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣವಾಗಿದೆ.
ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಲವು ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ಅನುಸರಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿರುವ ತ್ರಿಭಾಷಾ ಸೂತ್ರವೂ ಕನ್ನಡವನ್ನು ಅಸ್ಮಿತೆಯಾಗಿ, ಇಂಗ್ಲಿಷ್ನ್ನು ಸಂವಹನ ಭಾಷೆಯಾಗಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಹಿಂದಿಯನ್ನು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಕೋನದಿಂದ ನೋಡಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಆದಾಗ್ಯೂ ಹಿಂದಿ ಭಾಷೆಯನ್ನು ಕೈಬಿಡುವುದಾದರೆ ಇದರ ಬಗೆಗೆ ಭಾಷಾ ತಜ್ಞರು, ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ತಜ್ಞರು, ಎಲ್ಲ ಭಾಷೆಯ ಸಾಹಿತಿಗಳು ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕವಾಗಿ ವ್ಯಾಪಕ ಚರ್ಚೆ ನಡೆಸುವ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿದೆ.

ಉತ್ತರ ಕನ್ನಡ ಮತ್ತು ಒಳನಾಡಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಕೊಂಕಣಿಗರಿಗು ಕಾರವಾರ ಗಡಿಭಾಗದ ಕೊಂಕಣಿಗರಿಗು ವ್ಯತ್ಯಾಸ ಇದೆ.
ಆ ಭಾಗದ ಕೊಂಕಣಿಗರಲ್ಲಿ ಮರಾಠಿ ಪ್ರಭಾವ ತುಂಬ ಇದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಜೊತೆ ಅಷ್ಟೊಂದು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಸಂಬಂಧ ಇಲ್ಲ.
