We’re grateful to the dedicated Buchanan attorneys — and to all the volunteers from partnering firms — whose time and expertise made this clinic a success. The Legal Services’ Young Professionals Council is a group of professionals who are dedicated to our mission of providing high quality, free legal services to low-income individuals and families. The Council warmly welcomes its newest member - William Brandyburg. When asked why he joined, William said: “I am excited to join the Legal Services Young Professionals Council. Dealing with tax debt can be stressful and confusing, but taxpayers have rights and options when facing collection from the IRS. If you owe federal income taxes, you may be able to request a payment plan, temporarily pause collections, or in some cases settle your debt for less than the amount owed. Legal Services of Greater Miami’s Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic provides free help to eligible taxpayers dealing with IRS issues, including tax debts, audits, missing refunds, and confusing tax notices.
