@Jringo1508 There was a Japanese woman who TikTok’d her visit to a Waffle House in Florida and was disappointed there was no fight. But discovered the joy that is Hash Browns All The Way
English

@Jringo1508 FIRST SERGEANT! DOC GOT INTO THE MEDICAL ALCOHOL! AGAIN!
English

@MrAndyNgo @RantyAmyCurtis Online life is not real life. He forgot that
English

@CynicalPublius ‘76 had gas rationing, Swine Flu epidemic, Denver rejected the Winter Olympics, hijacked airlines monthly, that San Clemente wildfire…
English

Anyone who claims the lack of joy about the 250th is a function of a rough economy was not alive in 1976.
The country rocked in its 200th celebration and the economy was a FREAKING MESS.
There is this Gen Z misconception that the '70s and early '80s were some sort of economic golden age of readily available, well-paying jobs, low cost housing and an all around sense of prosperity.
WRONG.
Google "Stagflation." Google "gas lines." Google "mortgage interest rates in the 1980s."
Our economy today is a golden age by comparison, without exaggeration.
Yet somehow in 1976 we could gleefully celebrate our nation's birthday without Democrats turning it into a Howard Zinn-inspired anti-history hatefest.

@jim_keats @Fat_Electrician I saw those floor units all over Venice and Greece when the Ex and I went there for our honeymoon in the 1900’s
English

@Fat_Electrician Everyone is focused on cutting through the wall
Why hasn't anyone mentioned air-conditioning units that sit on the floor and only vent out a window?
Is the dude saying that he has no windows!?!
English

You can do it pretty easily with a core drill or a hammer drill. Hell, you could manage it with just a hammer and chisel.
How the fuck do people from the country that spent a thousand years building badass castles think drilling a hole through stone is still some kind of impossible wizardry in 2026?
Gregor 🌹🇪🇺🇦🇹@salingergregor
Americans talking as if one could just just drill a hole through 2 ft thick walls
English

@frozenaesthetic Can you satisfy a bit of my curiosity: What is something that says “This is Britain” to you? A sight, smell, sound…not necessarily your own corner of it, but something thatwould diminish your connection if it was gone.
Not trying to stir stuff, just curious
English

@MyUnveiledTruth @NussRelson @KariSpielman This is just out and out stupidity.
Go ahead, take the last word. I won’t see it. You need to find the tree that supplies your oxygen and apologize for wasting it, you absolute lawn flamingo
English

@_MrScience_ @NussRelson @KariSpielman Would Vivek fight on behalf of America if we went to war with India?
English

The reason Hindus, especially Brahmins like Vivek Ramaswamy, go into tantrums in the U.S. when they encounter a Heritage American is because they view the world through a caste lens, based on BLOOD LINEAGE. And, they so badly want to become the “upper caste” in the U.S., but they likewise know they have zero links to the bloodlines that FOUNDED AND BUILT the United States from the ground up. Thus, in their minds, their caste system, this places them at the BOTTOM caste level, beneath the Heritage American, and that’s why they crash out in impotent rage, and try to insult and demoralize Heritage Americans by telling us our lineage means nothing.
English

@MyUnveiledTruth @NussRelson @KariSpielman For the same reason you have Marines waving Mexican flags and boosting the El Tri during the World Cup
For the same reason those of Irish descent sing IRA songs on St Patrick’s Day
Or the same reason any number of other Americans celebrate any number of other heritage things
English

@_MrScience_ @NussRelson @KariSpielman Why is Vivek so proud of his Brahmin caste while living in America since we don’t do castes?
English

@psyike @Sergastan1 @alexthechick 15% is Germany plus Czech Republic
No
It’s Portugal to Latvia then down to Ukraine back to Portugal
English

Holy hell that person thinks that would survive a tornado.
Oh no oh dear.
Wiktor M@WiktorM15
@HMBohemond Here's the thicness of a wall in my European house, cat for scale. Of course it would survive.
English

@_MrScience_ @Sergastan1 @alexthechick So roughly equal to Europe minus half of Europe?🤣what a strange way to compare the two.
English

@libsoftiktok Being moronic isn’t a crime…or we would have arrest every Cleveland Browns and Los Angeles Angels fan
English

@MyUnveiledTruth @NussRelson @KariSpielman Oh fuck off…
You were born in a state or commonwealth just like he was. We don’t have castes or nobility.
English

@NussRelson @KariSpielman How is Vivek more American than I am as a Daughter of the American Revolution?
English

@_MrScience_ Not really. The 2004 Utica tornado in Illinois crossed the Illinois River multiple times and the associated bluffs without losing strength.
English

The thing about tornadoes is that they get broken by hilly terrain. Tornadoes love flat places. The same kind of places builders love because grading is simple. Also; Tornado Alley in the US is a landmass roughly the size of Europe minus Norway and Sweden
Gryffix 🇺🇦 🇵🇸@Gryffix
Americans complain about tornadoes every year but will rebuild their cardboard houses in the exact same spot
English

@Discjirm The Po River (in Italy) valley gets them too. I want to say that there was one in the 1700’s that collapsed a church
English

@_MrScience_ Here's a weird fact for you: England has more tornadoes per square mile than any other country.
guinnessworldrecords.com/world-records/…
They tend to be far weaker than most US ones though.
English

@DbDartman That was an F4, and those high energy storms are ridiculous. Didn’t winds hit 275 mph for that storm?
English

@_MrScience_ That particular twister was on the ground for 110MILES!!!!
English

@Sergastan1 @alexthechick Yes, my geography was off.
It’s roughly equal to Europe minus Scandinavia and European Russia. So everything west of the eastern borders of Estonia-Latvia-Poland-Belarus-Ukraine. Or add Finland back, remove the islands
English

@_MrScience_ @alexthechick Got an exact number for this european? the only number i could find is from a "stormtour" website and that number is not close to europe

English

@USWeatherExpert I did not use the term “torn apart” but rather “broken” as in diminished. The destruction caused F1-F3 is very much terrain dependent. Friction robs the bottom of the funnel of energy. Higher energy storms are just unmitigatable.
English

@_MrScience_ No, tornadoes are not "torn apart" by hills.
I'm a meteorologists who has specialized in that area for 50+ years.
