@FussballDan but the case for the opposite is that we're generally late bloomers, looks like they're focusing on stability first before working on the attack, rodri is still cooked, cherki + marmoush not played a part and reindjers is still a bit lost.

@FussballDan Its Arsenals 🏆. Liverpool could make it interesting if they sort out their issues fast (doubtful), but I think we are not good enough. The Haaland dependence is worrying and we've yet to pass any real test imo (Arsenal we played underdog football, Napoli 10 men, United united).

Recent results have forced me to reassess my pre-season belief that #MCFC weren't good enough to win the Premier League title this year. Read all about it in my new Totally City Substack post 🩵 totallycity.substack.com/p/were-gonna-w…

Sunday's performance wasn't pretty from #MCFC, and the late equaliser was a kick in the teeth, but the approach and result showed encouraging signs of progress. Read all about it in my new Totally City Substack post 💙 totallycity.substack.com/p/two-points-d…

Been watching all of Man City's games this season, and here are my notes on their defensive stuff... Reminder, 🔴 = bad/getting exposed. Safe to say, think City have room to improve in their pressing, and particularly when they transition from mid block into a press.

Christ this data is so grim: "The troubling decline in conscientiousness. A critical life skill is fading out — and especially fast among young adults."

Students don’t build thinking skills - they outsource them. Instead of grappling with ambiguity, they PROMT. Instead of forming hypotheses, they PROMT. This is creating a generation of candidates who can copy answers, but not think. (I sound so old lol but omg it's BAD)

i've been coaching grads on business cases and THEY DON'T THINK! They don't know how to sit with a problem and work it out. They wait for someone to give them the answer - not build it themselves. No curiosity. No muscle for ambiguity. WHY: Unlimited access to ChatGPT (1/2)

for those who simply cannot let go of their 1337 prompting skillz, i learned a pro @DSPyOSS tip from @cyrusnewday: put your favorite prompt in the description the way i think of this, you are "incepting" the ai program with your prompt, but letting the program re-word the actual prompt.
Raymond Weitekamp tweet media
Raymond Weitekamp@raw_works

@DSPyOSS but you see the problem with dspy is that now i will actually have to know what i want the ai to do... ...you took away all of the thumb-twiddling...

It blows my mind that people go out of their way to implement some or other bullshit thing like "Speculative self-fusion auto associative hypergraph RAG" before, you know, trying BM25.

@savage_agi Just getting involved in this space and find this an interesting take... just wondering: if your knowledge base were natively a graph of entities+relations (rather than flattened into vectors), could GraphRAGs subgraph retrieval & path-aware reasoning make it possibly worthwhile?

Across all our products and services, I am involved in nearly 100 RAG and AI agent systems. I have yet to see a single case where GraphRAG makes any sense.
