BIGGEST TRAVEL CHEAT CODES i see lately tons of travel posts, who went where, but comments show most folks think they can't afford trips i visited 10 countries in 3 years myself, so here's what i recommend to EVERYONE wanting to explore the world here it is: > always book in local currency Pay in the airline/hotel’s own currency instead of your bank’s converted price, dynamic currency conversion almost always adds hidden fees > fly on Tuesdays and Wednesdays Most routes are cheapest if you depart and return mid‑week; avoiding Friday–Sunday can easily cut 20-30% off the ticket price > use overnight transport Night buses/trains = transport + hotel in one, you save a full night of accommodation and gain more daytime for exploring > eat where there’s no English menu Streets full of locals, handwritten menus, no one trying to pull you in, usually cheaper and more authentic than anything 'for tourists' > carry two cards + some cash One main card, one backup in a different place, plus a small stash of emergency cash in a hidden pocket or money belt > download offline everything Offline maps, offline translator, and offline copies of passport/tickets; phone or internet issues become an annoyance, not a disaster > hand luggage > checked luggage Travel with a single carry‑on to skip check‑in lines, avoid lost luggage, and move freely between cities on buses/trains > use long layovers as mini‑trips Pick itineraries with 8–24 hour layovers in interesting cities, store luggage at the airport, and see another country for almost free > stay slightly outside the center One or two metro stops away from the old town usually means much cheaper rooms, fewer tourists, and better food for the price if you want more details on any of these, don't hesitate to ask i'll also share some killer apps for saving your money
