Black tax is black tax, I don’t care what this broer says. You finally land a good job but you can’t enjoy the benefits because money has to be directed elsewhere. That apartment you can afford? You can’t stay there because you have to send groceries at home every month. That car you can afford? You can’t buy it because the family home needs a new roof and ceiling. The clothes you can afford? You can’t buy them because your younger siblings need uniform and Christmas clothes. You earn the same salary as your peers but your life is progressing at a much slower pace because of responsibilities you didn’t ask for. Helping out at home is necessary but it’s honestly the worst experience for the people that have to do it. That is indeed a tax and the resentment towards it is valid.
