REGION 5 WEST CHAMPS! Odessa needed 2 wins to clinch the Region 5 West Regular Season Title. Odessa took away all of the build-up with 2 quick wins in Thursdays doubleheader. Game 1 Odessa was trailing 2-0 until the casual 8 run bottom of the 4th that game them the lead. It was the Nathaniel Mendoza show as he had an HR and 5 RBI in game 1. Then he proceeded to follow it up with 2 HR and 2 RBI in game 2 as Odessa cruised to a casual 9-1 victory over New Mexico. Odessa wins the Region 5 West despite what Midland does because they have a better record against New Mexico. Odessa will now host a Sub-Regional starting on May 8th. @OdessaCBaseball #2YearBaseball
