The bad consequences of these beef is that you niggas can’t even grasp both concepts and see them as they are ,its like all the things should be about picking a side although you criticism is valid but your thinking revolves around the beef too much

JAŸ-Z is right about stan culture getting out of control, but that’s not a reason to abandon Hip Hop’s core elements. Not that I give a fuck because this is the internet, but I know firsthand what it’s like to be attacked over my physical appearance, people trying to dox me, sending me death threats in my email, instead of people proving me wrong. The real issue is accountability! Niggas need to take accountability for the things that they do and the issues they put into the universe but instead, we’re watching two HALF WHITES (y’all got mad when I said it yesterday so let’s say it again) rewrite battle rules in real time, while their parasocial fans harass, dox, and deflect. Battle rap is the last core element standing. We don’t need less of the culture, we need to build those elements back up!

I think yall are purposely misinterpreting what JAY-Z said. He’s looking at rap battles today from a realist perspective, not an idealistic one. What he said was fair. With the heightened infiltration of bots + cult like stan cultures in hip hop, the fun is long gone.

JAY-Z responds to claims that he chose Kendrick Lamar for the Super Bowl as a move to undermine Drake: “I chose the guy that was having a monster year, it wasn't in some sort of alliance to a battle... Like what? I’m f*cking Jay-Z.” (via GQ)

Cole dissing Noname is one of the longest running Twitter lies.

JAY-Z says the Kendrick Lamar / Drake beef went too far and admits he “almost wishes” it didn’t happen: "In this day and age, it's so much negative stuff that comes with it ,that you almost wish it didn't happen." "I don't know if battling needs to be part of the culture anymore." (via GQ)

@Kameron_Hay They saying Drake is being coddled LMAOOOOOO

Jay-Z on the 2024 back-and-forth between Kendrick Lamar and Drake: “We’ve just grown so much that — I guess I’m going to say it — I don’t know if battling needs to be a part of the culture anymore.” gq.visitlink.me/xAeZjl
