Edgar, Soldier Boy and Vogelbaum all spoke to him without fear, but they were either demeaning him or pitying him Firecracker and Stillwell were ultimately afraid of him and thus he killed them cause he knew their words wouldn’t be genuine l The Legend is content with his impending death, and as evidenced by the mirror scenes a part of Homelander is still clearly human And so Legend genuinely talking to him as a human without fear, actually reached that part of him, cause Homelander would probably kill anyone else who saw him in a moment like that even if they were useful

Imagine Vought Rising gets cancelled after one season LOL and this entire season was hijacked for no reason. Spinoffs to a show are fine but they should not be REQUIRED viewing and should not HIJACK the plot of the main show

The Boys season 5 is just a prequel to Vought Rising

Like mannnn I didn't give a SHIT about Daniel in season 1, but I was locked in for all of his scenes this season. That actor knocked it out of the park. Michael Gandolfini, you are AWESOME

Something this new creative team has done exceptionally well is take the BORING and FLAT characters from season 1 that were created by the initial team, and make them INTERESTING and COMPELLING. I think that's so cool, they took a shitty cast of new characters and made them shine
