Windhoek City Police traffic officers are analysing recordings of an incident that took place in Khomasdal to identify and trace the drivers. CCTV footage from the intersection of Kornalyn Street at Park Foods in Khomasdal shows clear examples of reckless driving by motorists during the morning rush. The footage captures vehicles overtaking in restricted areas and stopping past designated stop lines at traffic lights. Last week, Minister of Works and Transport Veikko Nekundi directed all police and traffic units to submit weekly recordings of reckless driving to his office. The footage will be used to identify drivers whose conduct may lead to suspension or cancellation of their driving licences.
