I think being anti-patois is always tied to some sort of classism...even if self-directed. Personally I'm proud of being able to switch fluently between the two and I use them both everywhere, even in corporate spaces (there's always at least one raised eyebrow when I do that, which I ignore...as there's nothing 'inappropriate' about any of my languages).

I have a feeling this zukaang shit is going to get out of hand pretty soon and katara's gonna get the fujoshi treatment of a canon female love interest. Would LOVE to be wrong tho, but I'm seeing some troubling signs. Storm clouds are gathering.
