Kanye West has been banned from entering the UK to play Wireless Festival, as it would have been terrible to have a prominent public figure going round Finsbury Park condoning antisemitism

Fun fact: Here is the £100 million London mansion of the new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei on Billionaires' Row. @Keir_Starmer, why aren't you seizing it, just as you did to Russian properties?

The attacks on Iran by Israel and the United States are illegal, unprovoked and unjustifiable. Peace and diplomacy was possible. Instead, Israel and the United States chose war. This is the behaviour of rogue states — and they have jeopardised the safety of humankind around the world with this catastrophic act of aggression. Our government must condemn this flagrant breach of international law, and urgently pursue a foreign policy based on justice, sovereignty and peace.

@JoshFerme These loons want to run one the biggest economies in the world and don’t actually work. It’s a syndrome we’ve not yet worked out.

No legal archives or lists (so no court reporting), no jury trials, blanket speech restrictions & now attempting to ID gate VPNs. Easily the most authoritarian government of my life and it’s not close

Lads gave everything today, we fell just short but the effort was there for everyone to see. Thank you for that unbelievable support, 9k fans today was superb, just sorry we couldn’t give you the win. Concentration now on the league where we have so much to play for. @QPR

@LoftforWords The removal of replays are such a killer for non PL sides, after a deserved ‘point’. You’d fancy them at home on a Tuesday night as well. But then again, the squad is run into the ground as it is. Some bright sparks in there nonetheless

Disappointed. QPR FA Cup lore continues. Couldn’t fault the effort, gave it a go. The only time we put 10 mins of pressure on them they cracked and we scored, but the physical condition of our squad meant that’s all we had in us. Extra time always going to be a killer.

Awkward moment for the BBC: having spent two years pumping out Hamas propaganda, they now must face Iranians bravely opposing the regime that funds it.

Signs of authoritarianism going too far: Ending jury trials. Cancelling elections. Jailing people for hurty posts. Introducing Digital ID without a mandate. Considering banning X/Twitter. Or as we call it in the UK, another day under a Labour government.

A police officer just came round to ‘reassure’ us after the Bondi beach attack. He hoped local pro-Pals would stay quiet tonight. When Manchester happened the blood was up. They came out in force. Dead Jews get them excited. That’s what police don’t get.

A Benefit Scandal. A family with three children living in Tower Hamlets can be eligible to claim over £82k a year in benefits! Almost double the gross household income in the UK! Both parents out of work and not looking for work, both claiming to be carers, both receiving PIP for back injuries, both non-UK nationals that haven't worked and paid NI for more than 6 months in the last 2 years, one child diagnosed with ADHD. They are eligible to claim UC, PIP, Carer’s Allowance, Child Benefit, Council Tax Support and more… This isn’t a one off hypothetical example. Countless families are out of work not looking for employment while hardworking taxpayers foot their bills and lifestyles. Do you think this is fair, do you make more than £80k a year? Source Adam Smith Insitute.
