I just saw this movie at the TIFF Lightbox. This is the Israelification of Canadian police. Israeli police literally raided a screening of Palestine 36 in East Jerusalem on Jan. 22, arrested and interrogated the projectionist, and banned future screenings of the film.

💢 BREAKING | Israeli settlers shoot dead a 14-year-old student and a 32-year-old man at a West Bank school, with Israeli forces providing protection Israeli settlers opened fire on Al-Mughair Boys School in the village of Al-Mughayyir, east of Ramallah, on Tuesday afternoon, killing a 14-year-old student, Aws Hamdi Al-Naasan, and a 32-year-old man, Jihad Marzouq Abu Naim, and wounding three others with live bullets, according to the Palestinian news agency WAFA and the Ministry of Health. A paramedic at the scene said at least three settlers deliberately fired at children attempting to escape from classrooms from a position approximately 50 meters away, with a level of accuracy he described as close to sniping. An eyewitness said shooting was directed at classroom windows and balconies still full of children as residents attempted to evacuate the school by crawling. Israeli forces arrived during the attack and, according to witnesses, provided protection to the settlers rather than stopping them. A 63-year-old man, Attallah Abu Aliya, said he was shot in the leg by an Israeli soldier without warning as he walked toward the school after hearing it was under attack. Their deaths bring the West Bank toll to four killed on Tuesday alone, after a 16-year-old boy was run over by a settler's vehicle in Hebron and a 49-year-old woman died from injuries sustained in an Israeli army shooting in Jenin.

Today a private delegation of Canadians—which included Members of Parliament—was denied entry to the West Bank at an Israeli border crossing. Global Affairs is in contact with the delegation and we have expressed Canada’s objections regarding the mistreatment of these Canadians while attempting to cross.

Today, I visited the prisoners who were freed from the occupation’s jails, and they told me about a hell unlike anything in this world.
They described how the occupation deliberately treated them with brutality — stripping them of their humanity and subjecting them to systematic psychological, physical, and sexual torture.
They said they never saw the sun, that a heavy darkness hung over their days… their hands chained day and night, not even released when entering the bathroom — which they were only allowed to use twice a day. Many times, they were forced to relieve themselves in their clothes.
The blindfolds over their eyes were never removed, and they slept on cold asphalt floors with no mattress or blanket — only withering patience and a hope that refused to die.
They spoke of humiliation as a daily routine — of hunger, isolation, and the crushing oppression of narrow cells.
And yet, their spirits remain unbroken; their faith never wavered, and the light of freedom still burns in their eyes.
