In all my years on earth, this is the first time I’m hearing of a “r@pe” culture in any community.
There is a Governor there, there’s a Senator there, there is a House of Reps member there, there’s a DPO there, there’s a LGA Chairman there.

You people always argue without nuance. Everything is not black or white. Don't hide your desperation under logical timeline. There is no logical timeline for dating. You have to factor when the relationship began, the current state of the parties, and the parties' long term plans together.
If an Enginerring student started dating a Law student in 100 level, by the end of NYSC, 6 years is gone. If they entered school at 17, they would be 23 at the end of service. Before they get job and settle down in their career and finace, they are 30. That is 13 years.
It is not timeline that matters. It is commitment.

Actually my elder brother and his wife dated for 13 years. The wedding ceremony was just formality cos in their minds, they got wedded a long time ago.
Today, they are not just a couple but best friends, like TWINS. One knows the other inside out and the relationship is enviable.
It is not the wedding ceremony and society’s standards that matter. It is the bond between the two individuals coming together.
It is not how long a relationship goes on without a wedding ceremony. It is the quality of the relationship between the two people.
And no matter how close we are to our siblings, no matter how much we love them, we cannot make decisions for them as long as they are adults. We all came to this earth alone and will leave alone.
