- obviously serious allergies are a fair reason to give up a pet, i just assumed it was bs bc ppl often use that as an excuse when they adopt a pet & realize they're not equipped to care for it. i have since learned that in her case, it was very much not bs.

@_moongles I am absolutely HORRID reaction when we got my late princess, to the point we were thinking of revoking her with my FIL. Tons of antihistamines and six weeks later my immune system just gave up. Never had another issue till she passed.

@_moongles for anyone reading in the comments, one possible option to help with cat allergies is Purina LiveClear or other allergy-reducing cat food options, it's made a major difference for my very allergic husband!!! 💕
