@316simsim He’s unfortunately associated with the worst era in French football in recent memory (missing the World Cup twice and flopping at Euro ‘92). But yeah he gets a lot of pull for being the star man at the start of the Fergie dynasty. Extra aura points for retiring early too I guess.

Eric Cantona lore is so interesting because in France he is barely even mentioned and the quality of the PL in the early to mid 90’s was probably the worst it has been.

Are you dumb? Cantona won the league with Leeds then came to United won it every season he was at United apart from the one he was suspended during. Goal catalogue ridiculous, leader of men and basically decided where the league would be.
