After delimitation in Assam, One Lok Sabha constituency has 14 lakh people, while another has 26 lakh. Some assembly constituencies have four Zila Parishads, while others have only two. There is no geographical contiguity, parts of the same assembly area lie on one side of a river or across mountains. Indeed. Been writing explainers on this for five years now. Could clearly see how they tried to first move the census, and then thought let's just push through anyway hiding behind "women's quota". The women's quota was anyway passed in 2023 with almost all parties supporting. The question was and is delimitation. And "guarantee" of one guy in a speech isn't an actual legislation, no matter if he's vishwaguru or not.

They have been preparing since 2021. The 2021 Census was postponed until 2026-7 for the purpose of doing delimitation before 2029 (yes, postponing the Census fast-tracked delimitation, due to be based on 'the first Census after 2026' according to the Constitution 84th amendment).

The maids get paid so well that Sunanda Vashist would change places with her maid in a second, if she were asked to. The only reason she doesn't is that she heard they don't even pay taxes on their super high salaries & Vashisht loves to pay 35% taxes for the good of the nation.

Maids in Delhi NCR get paid really well. This I know from personal experience. I really don’t understand who is instigating this demographic. Whoever it is, is doing them a huge disservice. Soon housekeeping will be taken over by corporate houses, it already is, for fraction of headache and quarter of charges. Professionalism you get is an added bonus. Soon no one will hire maids like they were hired in the past and no prizes for guessing who will lose out.

Women's reservation bill was already passed with all-party support in 2023. What's Modi ji talking about? The issue is about redrawing the Lok Sabha map. Do it in the existing 543 seats and be done. The rest, for now, is a smokescreen and mere rhetoric.

YSRCP of Jagan Mohan Reddy from Andhra says have asked for details of delimitation in writing; and if there is 50% flat increase then we will support the bill, otherwise we won’t. But what does in writing mean? It could simply be written in the bill. What value does any other writing have? None.
