Rutherford Head - Three eights took the trip up north for a weekend of racing and training on the Tyne. Racing on the Saturday the squad brought home wins in the J18 4+ and J18 8+ before a great squad session on Sunday before the journey home.

Reading Small Boats Head - some strong results for the 4th & 5th form crews against tough opposition. The 6th form squad took wins in the J18 4- and 2- events with the 4- winning division 1 as the fastest four of the day. The 2- was the fastest 2- of the day.

With Henley over we look back on what is always a fantastic spectacle of rowing. The 1st VIII had a tough draw racing well against the seeded Bedford crew, losing out by 2 lengths. Thanks to all the friends, family and OA’s for the unwavering support throughout the regatta.

Henley Royal Regatta The 1st VIII race @henleyroyalregatta in the Princess Elizabeth Challenge Cup. Racing begins on Tuesday at 09:35 against Bedford School. The crew will be boating at 08:45 from bay B for any supporters who want to clap the crew out of the boat tent.

As our Henley crews continue their prep for this year’s regatta, the rest of the club headed to Marlow Town. We had 12 crews racing in finals with 5 taking wins. Well done to those picking up their first victories for the school and to those racing in singles for the first time.

At the start of half term the club travelled to Nottingham for this season’s Nat Schools Regatta. Friday saw the J14’s racing here for the first time with the coxed quad continue their undefeated season taking the Gold medal! Saturday saw all crews make the A/B finals.
