@acctored @dilaurentius Heavily skewed. I have only included competition both of them have been involved in. You would find that the UWCL is a tougher competition than Cocacaf qualifiers.I only used the WSL, because that creates a more equitable base for both players this season.

I get the praise for Russo dropping deeper and doing the off-ball work, but using that to argue she’s better than Shaw still feels racist. Shaw also has to rotate into deeper roles with Miedema, who even often clogs up the same spaces and Bunny still manages to be most clinical.

@acctored @dilaurentius City have an elite forward 3 with 2 pure finishers including a wsl record striker, we have 2 elite forwards with Russo the only elite creator and finisher in her assumed hybrid 9/10 role see so fans acknowledge the deficiencies in our attack whilst admiring her relentlessness.

@acctored @dilaurentius Goes back to my initial point about who both players have around them; it's a stark difference in directness and approach. You have height across the team and a lot of movement so you can deliver crosses early and options both in air or second balls. You are a great side so helps

@dilaurentius @acctored Russo's hybrid 9/10 role is what suits our current setup and it involves her being heavily involved in the creative aspect in the front line. Shaw absolutely does some elements of this but we all know she is a pure finisher. We can't compare them fairly in their roles sadly.

@acctored @dilaurentius The discourse i was assuming was around WSL so these are facts; Shaw has superior attacking players in terms on directness and quick deliveries. We have been lethargic for most parts of the season and Russo has had to graft a lot to be involved to create these.
