Makes sense to me! You don't want to take away your son's childhood or screw up his life's direction because of that man. You can tell him the summer after he finishes high school and hopefully by then his identity, self worth and even a sense of direction in life will be a little established. I'd also recommend making sure he has tons of additional role models that he trusts. He might feel betrayed one day by you (even if just temporarily) & having a lot of other adults in his life that he trusts and can talk to, and who also might help smooth the betrayal over, will help.

There are tons of businesses who don't ship to various places & that's their right. No one says you must ship everywhere. Plus, you can buy what you want from there in person next time you're in the US using your dual citizenship! Most people don't have that option but you do! Furthermore, there are people 10 mins from you who can't even get in FOOD due to your government - that is real oppression. There are dozens of videos uploaded directly by zionists showing the IDF taking, throwing away, or riding the bikes of Palestinian kids! Your kids dont have to worry about that, do they? You have not been oppressed bc of an online shipping policy.

A few years ago, my husband — a cycling enthusiast — invested almost $300 in a “built to last” balance bike from @LittleBigBikes for our kids, specifically because parts could be replaced over time. Today, as our youngest needs new pedals and brakes, the company refuses to ship to Israel. Not to a government — to customers. Companies are, of course, free to take political positions. But refusing to serve individuals based solely on where they live is not a “peace stance.” It’s collective exclusion and discrimination. People who oppose boycotts should know where this company stand.

MLK wasn't a Zionist. Its true he naively believed in a 2 state solution at first but he also famously had a trip planned to Palestine near the end of his life and publicly shared that he ended up canceling it because he spoke with Israelis who told him it was pointless because they had complete control of the Palestinians and aren't gonna let it go. He did his research and made it clear that the only peaceful solution would be for Israel to return Palestine their land! Because he knew no other solution would work. That's NOT zionism. In fact when Israelis tried to them get him to just visit Israel instead to try and see things from their view, he refused to go because he didn't want to be seen as pro-Israel!
