In other words, the war is over, we're stumbling toward some version of the JCPOA, America is out billions of dollars and lots of weapons that we didn't need to waste, and the United States is now weaker and Iran in a strategically stronger position. And for what?

For the millionth time, do the WSJ editorial writers even read their own news pages before cheerleading this stupid disaster of a war and trying to make this dangerously idiotic president sound like Lincoln and Grant put together?
Richard Hanania@RichardHanania

WSJ: Trump bored with the war, instead likes to talk about the White House ballroom and suggests giving himself the Medal of Honor. There was no plan behind the threat to destroy Iranian civilization. He was just winging it, with top aides saying he's desperate to end the war.

If there is a state with greater scenic beauty than Oregon, I haven’t seen it. Mountains, high desert, Pacific, Hood, Columbia, Portland — it’s just spectacular. I don’t want to spoil anything for residents, but it’s a truly underrated state. I’m lucky to have married into it.

It's interesting that 2-time Dem presidents Clinton and Obama both left office with high approval ratings, and both could have won a third election, while Bush was roughly as popular as Ebola when he left and Trump's somehow going to be worse than that. makes you think

And if you don’t agree after today, or frankly after Jan 6 or … any of it, you’re nothing but a partisan hack and don’t give a shit about your country much less anything else moral, legal, or decent.
Jon Favreau@jonfavs

Everyone can (rightly) call for impeachment and the 25th amendment all we want, but - as ever - Trump will remain in office because Republicans want him there. Their party must be annihilated in the next election, and the election after that. It’s the only way.

C'mon media, the story shouldn't be the opposition party/Dems saying he should be impeached or criticizing/expressing outrage at the president's horrific comments/intentions, it's the utter silence from the GOP in response to them axios.com/2026/04/07/tru…

Honestly, as we wait to see if America joins history's list of World's Greatest Monsters, and it's vaunted Checks and Balances does nothing to stop or punish the WH (b/c the GOP is amoral and corrupt), this post captures the moment better than any:

FNC blaming Iran for a war crime committed by Trump. In-fucking believable. And Yingst is their best overseas reporter!
