@adithyab__@appiecule It’s simply a mix of business and sport.
They don’t want to sell their top player to a rival. They would prefer he move to a different league.
It’s exactly like the Bellingham situation: Bayern made a huge offer, but the club didn't sell him, and he joined Real Madrid a year later
- Alexander Isak pushed for a move from Newcastle to Liverpool.
- Viktor Gyökeres pushed for a move from Sporting CP to Arsenal.
- Ousmane Dembélé forced his way out of Barcelona to join Paris Saint-Germain.
- Julián Álvarez himself formally requested to leave Manchester City in order to join Atlético Madrid.
And that’s without mentioning Real Madrid, who are often accused of encouraging players not to renew their contracts so they can sign them for free.
Apparently, it’s forbidden when Barcelona do it, but perfectly acceptable when everyone else does.
@adithyab__@appiecule Not impossible with a release clause but...
If Atlético doesn't want the transfer, there are only 3options left:
-pay the release clause
-negotiate a high price
-do nothing.
Nothing else
@adithyab__@appiecule And that doesn't change the fact that those statements show a great deal of ingratitude.
Atlético is Alvarez's boss; he is under contract, the club decides what to do with the player without asking for his opinion.
Whether they want to sell him, keep him, or bench him for 4 year.
@Arbishop0@appiecule that's because city didn't force him to stay and made public statements like kids on social media, do you think Alvarez would have made this public statements if atletico didnt force him to stay against his wishes?
@adithyab__@appiecule I don't think so; public statements stick.
Alvarez is ungrateful. Is it worth reminding everyone that Atlético bought him while he was on the bench at City? He didn't make statements like that to leave City, even when he wasn't playing.
Now he is playing and making these comments
@Arbishop0@appiecule i dont think what alvarez public statement is wrong, its quite common thing that players force a move. Public statement or not attending the trainings, in the end the outcome is same
@adithyab__@appiecule The major difference between Dembélé's behavior and Álvarez's is communication.
Many football fans don't remember how Dembélé behaved. In contrast, everyone saw Álvarez's public statements; they are humiliating for Atlético and are complicating the transfer far more.
@adithyab__@appiecule Yes I take your point regarding Rennes, even though the €15m transfer fee was a club record
As for Dortmund, I think the €110m was enough to force the move, rather than Dembélé's behavior.
But that was never the case with PSG—neither an exorbitant price nor problematic behavior
@Arbishop0@appiecule It maybe true but apart from barca, dembele forced rennes to let him go to dortmund by not attending trainings and all and again he did the same with dortmund to go to barcelona👍
@appiecule You’re a Barcelona supporter, yet you don’t realize that Dembélé didn’t force his move to PSG... He had actually extended his contract rather than leaving for free the previous season...
Either you’re ignorant about your own club, or you’re lying. I don’t know which is worse...
@appiecule Pero dejar de criticar y sacar mierda y poner el dinero en su totalidad,no tenéis un puto euro vivís de los créditos y queréis las cosas gratis iros al banco a pedir llorones.
🚨 Barcelona signed Anthony Gordon from Newcastle for €70m fixed plus €10m in variables.
The add-ons include €5m linked to trophies such as La Liga and the Champions League during his contract, which runs until 2031.
— @mundodeportivo
.@ffpolo: "Julián Álvarez has taken a strong step to leave Atlético.
They can refuse, but the bigger question is clear: why does their star striker no longer see his future there only two years after signing?"
🚨 JUST IN: Barcelona are working on SIGNING Mikel Oyarzabal.
He is the PLAN B if Barça can't complete the signing of Julian Alvarez.
— @elchiringuitotv
🚨❗️ Atlético Madrid CEO Miguel Angel Gil: “Julian has a dream, and we at Atlético also have dreams. It is true that he spoke to us, but it is equally true that he knows our position well, because we have been very clear: Atlético does NOT want to sell”.
“Barcelona is lying”.
@sinovuyo001@FabrizioRomano@g_ndamwe then manchester city should sue atletico as well, the players and even the manager was trying to convince him to come to their shit club that too when he was under "contract" in city
@FabrizioRomano@g_ndamwe ATL Madrid should take a strong legal action against Julian Alvarez by punishing him for 10 matches next season,he has put a huge shame on the club ,and Barcelona needs to be sued Also 🤝
@Philip_ItisI@BarcaTimes@victor_nahe even a person who cant read or write can understand what he said yesterday and why cant you understand my brother?
@BrownFooty@ChampionsLeague Yeah, the goat with no worldcup and the goat who is the greatest goalscorer but not even in the top 10 goalscorers in worlcup which is the biggest stage.
