Many more “upsets” seem to happen in splatoon 3 compared to 2, and it’s because there’s just so many viable options; the game is far from solved. S2’s endgame was so straightforward that it allowed the skill ceiling to be pushed further because there’s less adaptations necessary

@wowieei yeah actually very good point There was no cblasts and stampers killing everyone in s2 it was just pure fundies

@ahingite it's because strong individual players have enough impact to swing sets now

@oil_splat No I don’t think there needs to be any changes right now, another 6~ months of how the game currently is should be good

@ahingite what do you think the splatoon balancing should shift to as although there is diversity in this meta it also benefits frustating to deal with playstyles to be played more

Obviously splatoon 3 doesn’t seem to be done updating, but I’ve never seen a state of Splatoon with this many weapons doing well. S2 felt the same every time, but S3 feels like I’m playing a different game every other team
