We’re thrilled to collaborate with @LineaBuild as they become the first zkEVM Layer 2 to offer official ENS subnames! We're excited to see how this empowers the users and developers of the Linea ecosystem 🤝

@LineaBuild tech is rapidly becoming the best Rollup stack for scaling Ethereum Yesterday, during the blob base fee spike, Linea demonstrated a unique mechanism that saved operators and users $$$ Situation: at ~6pm UTC+1, the blob base fee spiked to 6000 gwei! This is orders of magnitude higher than the usual 1 wei paid for blob gas by rollups. @mcutler from Blocknative shared a great thread summarizing the impact this had on the ecosystem. Some L2's, like Blast, paid 5 ETH for a single blob carrying transaction (nearly $20,000!). Fees for users increased dramatically. x.com/mcutler/status… However, Linea did not even flinch. We've built a unique mechanism that monitors the L1 resources and chooses the optimal cost and time for submission. This mechanism takes into account both regular gas and blob gas, thus when the blob gas spiked, the data submissions were temporarily paused until the fees came down to more optimal level. As an analogy: if you think of Rollups as commodity traders of blockspace, then Linea traded significantly better than any other Rollup yesterday. If you see the L1 blob gas price paid per Type 3 tx on Linea, it was capped ~1.5e-11 ETH The user benefit of these cost optimizations is lower prices for L2 end users. During the blob gas spike, Linea was the cheapest Rollup, and remained at a stable low price for a great UX < $0.05 (h/t @growthepie_eth) Linea Mainnet is not even 1 year old yet. Our superpower is shipping product: we can't control all outcomes but one thing is certain, we will not be out-shipped. TL;DR: the tech is gud
