The collapse of @ihopkc might be more revealing than people think. They framed everything as prayer for the salvation of Israel, the fast-tracking of the end times, and blood. They just got the mechanism wrong. Those outcomes don’t arrive through prayer. They arrive through power, force, and the need for petroleum. It only “works” when missiles do the talking and speaking in tongues becomes the soundtrack.

@MrWanMath1 @realprophetguy If St. Peter asks about the Prophetic History, I’ll ask him: Was it true, or was it constructed to legitimize the movement? Were people hurt because they believed it? And just so we’re being thorough… Heaven isn’t also an artifice, right?

A reader recently asked two questions that kept bothering me. Were some religious leaders rotten from the beginning? Or do certain systems eventually produce the same outcomes regardless of who leads them?

That idea led me into a piece I just published.

There’s a concept in law called constructive fraud. Harm can occur even when not everyone involved intends to deceive. Sometimes the structure of the relationship itself produces the outcome.

We tend to frame these scandals as moral failures of individuals. But what if the deeper issue is structural?

We have ministries devoted to pastoral restoration. We have ministries devoted to exposing abuse. What would a Victim Restoration Ministry look like? What would the standard be?

Movements begin with conviction. They gather followers. They organize. Organization concentrates power. Power protects itself.

The money swirling around @BethelChurch is wild. If I’d been born to a top-tier charismatic leader, maybe I’d have a private jet. Closest I got was when my sister @aedeere made $11/hr managing Bethel’s calendars while leaders expanded square footage. Revival math apparently follows the Holy Spirit, not arithmetic.
