Tamilnadu assembly elections 2026. The below reaction on Vijay voters seems quite extreme. It has the inherent assumption that only some wild astray badly brought up youths are voting TVK and that is far from the truth. Absolutely normal and fine people are voting TVK. I think it is elitist thought to categorize voters of a party as such. Yes there are reels with extreme over excitement on TVK and some bizarre reactions also, let us isolate those reactions as not good for society and avoid branding an entire bunch of voters as such.

What have we done or failed to do for this society? Parents, Teachers & Social Influencers need to introspect on how we have allowed such a rotten idea to creep into our political system. Tamil Nadu as a state has progressed well in the last 75 years. Our past rulers may not have been perfect but they have not been as bad as what has been projected. Be it Congress or DMK or AIADMK they had done their job well. If this start up party is getting double digit in vote share & single digit in seats then that blame goes to every stakeholder. Insanity has entered into many homes in the Urban areas. Whoever forms the Government has an humungous responsibility to clean up this poison from our political system. The youth are into Drugs & whom are those youth supporting. That would give us an answer. I dread of some of these zombies to go to extreme lengths when they realise that TVK is nowhere near to forming the government. Praying to God to save this state from Psychos.

@vyasa1968 - 38% with over 30k samples
@Edwinpollster - 40%+
Mettur makers - 41% ( with over 6-8k samples throughout state through dummy polls and on face live YT videos)
@BalajiGeek - 41% ( weighted average of over 250+ YT videos with people on camera from various channels)
On all of these, NDA is distant third.
What’s startling is the support is not just in urban areas and not just from youth.
Women support for TVK is consistently in the 45-50% range

Absolutely anecdotal... spoke to relative in Chennai.. says in his 25 people friend circle/peer group in company, every person has voted for TVK.. every person... most of them 30 - 40 age group... even discounting this by 25%, we are saying TVK wont win seats? Common guys...

Almost every Tamil journalist I spoke to today says TVK will take mostly AIADMK vote and much smaller number of DMK votes.
Many of them are predicting 150-160+ for DMK alliance. Also almost all of them are giving Vijay at least 20% overall vote share.
I am completely gobsmacked. I still maintain Vijay will largely be an urban phenomenon and I do not expect him to cross 15% max in rural areas, maybe even dropping to 10% or lower in some seats.
I believe there is serious overestimation being done of TVK's vote share. Maybe this post won't age well or maybe it will. Let us see on 4th May. #TNAssemblyElections
