A majority of the fandom does not dismiss Bryke’s contributions, instead they elevate them and don’t give due credit to the woman who wrote the most complex episodes of the show. Considering the questionable things Bryke said during the run of the show and after, I think it would

Not to discredit Welch but I find the way people dismiss Bryke’s contributions to ATLA because they dislike what came after silly. Welch wrote some great episodes (and the Northern Air Temple), but they’re by no means the only great episodes in the series.

Sokka was done so dirty by the writers. Born without bending in a world full of benders, he was the only non bender on an elite team packed with prodigies. He lost his mom to the Fire Nation, lost his first love to the Fire Nation, and in the end, he had no kids, no wife, and seemingly no lasting legacy😮‍💨😮‍💨 He deserved better😐
