Bitcoin uses less energy than the global banking system, because it replaces vast layers of physical and operational infrastructure with pure computational security. Traditional banking relies on: thousands of branches and ATMs, data centers, employee commuting, paper processing, secure transport of cash, and multiple intermediaries for settlement. All these demand continuous, distributed energy. Bitcoin’s Proof-of-Work, by contrast, centralizes security into efficient, location-flexible mining that anyone can verify, eliminating most of that overhead. Reliable estimates place global banking electricity consumption at roughly 2–5 times (or more) that of the Bitcoin network, depending on the scope of comparison.

@brian_armstrong @krakenfx That said, I greatly respect the tremendous efforts you do for the crypto space and crypto innovation in general. It's just that the app leaves much to be desired (at least from a retail perspective, you might have completely relaxed institutional rules or something)

@brian_armstrong Last time I tried to use your app it was incredibly filled with all kinds of process blockers and "you cannot buy this yet", " you need to wait 3 weeks for this approval ", and all kinds of out of the blue showstoppers. @krakenfx had zero issues. Zero (0). So, no thanks.

I like this thesis but the market usually tests the new Fed with a significant drop No reason to believe this will be different, especially since Warsh has a contrarian opinion to rate hikes

@cryptorover Everyone calls the bottom until it drops another 30%. I get the conviction but we've seen this movie before. March 2020, June 2022, FTX. The real bottoms come when nobody wants to buy, not when everyone's racing to deploy. Hope you're right though

We are in the final phase of the $BTC bear market. Bitcoin should bottom in the next few months. I'm aggressively deploying capital on spot.
