👁️ 70% of people see floating spots in their vision.
They're called eye floaters. Bits of protein drifting inside your eyeball.
You've probably seen them. Those weird transparent worms that float across your vision when you look at the sky.
They move when you try to look at them directly. Always just out of focus.
Most people notice them as kids, get told it's normal, and stop thinking about it.
But here's what nobody tells you:
Those floaters are older than most of your cells.
Your eye's vitreous gel formed before you were born. Those protein strands have been floating there since you were in the womb.
They're not new. You just started noticing them.
Every time you see one, you're looking at a piece of yourself from before you had consciousness.
Your brain filters them out most of the time. Background noise. Irrelevant data.
But they never left. They've been there your entire life.
Waiting for you to look at a bright sky and remember they exist.
We spend our lives looking outward.
Sometimes the most permanent things are the ones we've trained ourselves not to see.
