To my fellow 3D artists and animators who use Blender for your projects, Blender just pulled a big W by taking a financial risk. So, if possible, give them what you’re willing donate so that they can continue operations without having to rely on companies who prioritize AI.

Blender has taken a principled stance and is sacrificing future donations from Anthropic to reaffirms their stance that they are supportive of artists and creators This is very admirable and we encourage all of you to donate to Blender to show your support and appreciation 🫖

hilarious that we went from “never give out any real information about yourself on the internet” to “a handful of companies we know for a fact to be truly evil are going to require your govt name, DOB, and address for you to go online and it’s impossible to live an offline life”

The Parents Decide Act makes Apple and Google verify every user's age at device setup. The bill doesn't say how. The reason college campuses are so quiet now after 1.5 years of protesting the genocide in Gaza is because the entirety of Congress, Republican and Democrat led states and the democratic president condemned those protesters, had them deported, expelled, had teachers fired.
