The Delhi High Court has all of a sudden woken up to a 10 year old tweet by Rana Ayub allegedly hurting the sentiments of somebody. Don't the courts have nothing else to do?.... Typically, this is how a judge, on the verge of retirement tries to please his political masters to get some plum posting, or is seeking a promotion.

Can old tweets come back to trigger criminal action years later? The Delhi High Court, through Justice Purushaindra Kumar Kaurav, has indicated that they can, while taking serious note of tweets posted by journalist Rana Ayyub between 2013 and 2017. The Court described the tweets as “highly derogatory, inflammatory and communal” and directed that necessary action be taken, issuing notice to Ayyub, Delhi Police and X. The case arises from a complaint which had already led to registration of an FIR on the orders of a trial court. Before the High Court, it was pointed out that the tweets in question had since been taken down. Yet, the Court was clear that the matter required urgent consideration and that authorities must act in coordination. What makes this case interesting is not just the content of the tweets, but the timing and the legal route. A private complaint leading to an FIR, followed by High Court scrutiny. For now, the Court has only issued notice. The final outcome will depend on how the alleged tweets are legally characterised and whether they meet the threshold for criminal prosecution. In the age of digital speech, what is said online does not necessarily stay in the past. And the law, increasingly, is willing to revisit it.

ईरान-अमेरिका युद्ध सिर्फ एक ही तरीके से रुक सकता है जब दुनिया एक साथ खड़े होकर ट्रंप को बताए कि उनकी सनक और गुंडई को अब ये दुनिया बर्दाश्त नहीं करेगी। आप सोचिए बॉस..एक आदमी खुल्ले में धमकी दे रहा कि वो पूरी सिविलाइजेशन खत्म कर देगा और दुनिया के बड़े बड़े देश चुप बैठे हैं..क्यों? ईरान की सड़कों पर छोटे छोटे बच्चे तक खड़े हो गए हैं कि मार दो बम.. क्या दुनिया में कोई देश है जो ट्रंप से पूछे कि इनको मारने के पहले ये तो बताओ कि इनको मार किस लिए रहे हो.. उस सो कॉल्ड रिजीम चेंज के लिए जिसमें पूरा ईरान खत्म हो जाएगा और रिजीम चेंज देखने के लिए कोई बचेगा ही नहीं.. या ईरान का तेल लूटने के लिए.. या उस स्ट्रेट ऑफ हॉर्मूज को खुलवाने के लिए जिसे तुमने ही बंद कराया है.. या अपनी कुर्सी और इज्जत बचाने के लिए? और अगर ईरान पलटकर आसपास के देशों में लोगों को मारेगा तो उसकी जिम्मेदारी किसकी होगी.. मिडिल ईस्ट में बसे लाखों भारतीयों को कुछ हुआ तो उसकी जिम्मेदारी किसकी होगी... उसके बाद दुनिया में जो तबाही मचेगी उसकी जिम्मेदारी किसकी होगी... जब तक दुनिया के सारे बड़े देश मिलकर ट्रंप को और अमेरिका को एक सुर में नहीं कहेंगे कि अपनी दो कौड़ी की हरकतें बंद करो.. वरना जवाब एक साथ देंगे हम.. तब तक ये युद्ध ना रुकना.. और युद्ध नहीं रुका तो सब भुगत रहे हैं और भुगतेंगे।
