@kanpursneed My father worked as a videographer for government agencies (SDO, BDO offices) around 2008. With work booming, he invested heavily in equipment. Payment worth nearly 2 lakh remained unpaid as officers got transferred. He passed away in 2022. Not a single rupee was ever recovered.

@vandit_jain1994 There's a huge tailwind in renewable energy sectors and companies like Oriana Power, Waaree will get benefits out of it. Yes, sentiment is poor and it doesn't take time to shift also. The consolidation won't be longer, rotation will happen. You don't always jump around.

Understanding sectoral tailwinds and sentiments is the most rewarding attribute in investing. It differentiates the best from the rest. Estimating forward earnings is not that difficult. Many people can do that. Many have estimated correct forward earnings for Oriana, SJ Logistics, Waaree and many other solar EPC, transmission EPC companies etc. And those companies delivered on those estimates. Still, the stock hasn't moved. The problem is not with estimating - the problem is in understanding sentiments. Those who can gauge sentiments properly create massive wealth.

🔆Oriana Power Ltd- good set of numbers. - Revenue: ₹1,813cr vs ₹987cr, up 84% PAT: ₹252 cr vs ₹158cr, up 59% PAT margin: 13.9% vs 16.1% EPS: ₹124 vs ₹79, up 57% - 💰Huge cash flow: 337+cr. - PE dropped from 17 to 15.5. - Mainboard migration to happen in coming months. - Dis: invested and biased.

@abdulgafarkhan @SunitXing But that's mostly because of the market cycle. All EPC companies are down from their ATH and terrible PE re-rating happened. It's just a patience game, all EPC companies will move together irrespective of their promises and results.

@MareOfVideos @SunitXing If we ignore these obnoxious commitments, the numbers look great tbh. People are disappointed because of their promises vs delivery. I'm sure we would have been celebrating now if they had guided 50-60% PAT growth.

@ankit24fps @SunitXing Absolutely agree. That is the point. They are over committing, while in first 5 years of IPO, they should not.

Oriana Power's promoters should not commit in euphoria. Committing PAT growth 2x where it's hardly half of that is something we didn't expect. Tough questions should be asked in concall.

@SidssPT @Mehra2290 Okay. In their guidance they said they will do 2000cr topline growth which they missed by some 15%. PAT number is definitely disappointing. Cashflow looks great. So, yes it's good growth. Disastrous by no means.

Strong revenue by PVR INOX signalling that UFO Moviez will also post bumber revenue and available at much cheaper price. Good time to invest.
