@HistorylandHQ Reminder that the US actively enabled these mass killings. It supplied kill lists, funded death squads, and trained military units, while monitoring the genocide. Over 500,000 died. A secret Cold War intervention, not just a bystander. Read this book for more.

I faced massive official harassment when I gave a talk on Palestine at Leeds University approximately 6 years ago. University officials on the door insisted on taking the names of every student who attended, leading many overseas students to walk away. The female Palestinian student who had organised the meeting was so intimidated she did not come.
Jonathan Cook@Jonathan_K_Cook

Faced with an employment tribunal hearing and a massive backlash, Leeds University has backed down two years after it stripped academic rights from an emeritus professor, James Dickins, for expressing views in solidarity with Palestinians. This is the same Leeds that notoriously employs as its Jewish chaplain a man who served in Gaza in Israel's genocidal army. More: bricup.org.uk/news-2/a-victo…

Everyone knows about flock cameras, but they're not the only company scanning license plates. At least 7 other companies are scanning your plates every day. Genetec is #2. Motorola is #3. It’s not one company. It’s an ecosystem. The surveillance cartel is more than one brand.

A better way to characterize it is that Iran has decided to do what the so-called international community has neglected to do: restrain a rogue regime from its aggressive war, occupation, slaughter of civilians and forced displacement in an illegal unilateral “security zone” in another country’s territory. Ansarullah in Yemen already established this principle. Now Iran is acting directly on it. The ceasefire was clearly and incontrovertibly meant to include the whole region and other fronts, including Lebanon. We might expect Iran slowly but surely to extend it further in the coming period to Gaza/West Bank if this move is successful in deterring attack on Lebanon. It also makes a mockery of the Lebanese government’s claims that its illegal direct negotiations with Israel can achieve anything other than betrayal of its people. Moreover, the US unwillingness or inability politically to insure its ally abides by these conditions has been humiliatingly exposed. It is obvious the US does not want to return to active intense military confrontation with Iran —Trump is bleating desperately about returning to negotiations. That’s probably much more significant as this whole question geopolitically about where sovereign decision making was taking place has bedeviled analysis about the US-Israel empire and relationship. The interesting question is whether this will have consequences within the US politically.
Trita Parsi@tparsi

The magnitude of what just happened may take some time to sink in. This is the first time Iran has struck Israel after Israel struck another country's territory (that is, not Iran). This means that the battle lines have been moved. Iran's deterrence had already been restored in the sense that Israel knew that any strike on it would be responded to. But now, Iran has proven that it will also respond to Israeli strikes on Lebanon. This is the first time in decades that a regional power has the means, capacity, and willingness to put hard power against Israeli military maneuvers or aggression against a third party. 🚨 Turns out Meta Ray-Ban glasses ARE actually equipped with facial recognition tech even though Meta said they weren't. Not only do the glasses detect a face, it also automatically encodes the face into a unique biometric signature. Surveillance creep IS the business model.

HOLY SHIT 🇩🇪🚨 A woman in Germany says “Free Palestine.” Police swarm, cover her mouth, drag her down like a beast. That slogan is now banned in Germany because it’s considered antisemitic. If you say it, the state silences you by force.

@Forever_noir_ @eemaanishere In Palestine, the signs are for JEWS ONLY, but the victims, unlike other victims who faced the same barbarism of WHITES ONLY, can't call the system that rules over their lives JEWISH SUPREMACY or their enslavers JEWS lest someone across the ocean gives them a lesson !!

FL police use A.I. to identify a vehicle theft suspect from surveillance video. Based on an "85% match" they arrest and charge Jalil Richardson. He spends 3 months in jail. He loses his job, his home, and custody of his kids. Richardson lives in N.C. He's never been to Florida. And his timesheet shows him at work at the time of the crime. No one checked before charging him. yahoo.com/news/us/articl…

AOC sponsored a bill that explicitly allows the continued transfer of “defensive” weapons to Israel. Even today AOC supports selling iron dome parts to Israel. No one is spinning her to be a Zionist, she is one, you just can’t cope with that fact.

How could you possibly spin AOC co-sponsoring the block the bombs act as something bad? Is Rashida tlaib a Zionist for co-sponsoring this bill too?

Bankrupt International Law: Normalizing Israel's Genocide Warfare Laith Marouf & @dimitrilascaris inspect the scenes of attacks by the Jewish colony on the vicinity of the last remaining hospital in Tyre City, Lebanon, including an attack on preserved archaeological treasures from the Canaanite era, restaurants that are serving locals during this time of shortages, and the parking lot of the Jabal Amal hospital. The attacks are then analyzed within the framework of Zionists resorting to Ethnic Cleansing and Genocide as the primary form of warfare, in the face of their total defeat in the realm of traditional warfare. Pro-Palestinians who dared to find workarounds to lawfully protest were later found and swarmed by cops and escorted out (if they weren’t arrested, this happened too simply for walking in an area) This cop in particular had a “no fear” tattoo in Hebrew so I looked him up out of curiosity. Full on Zionist. 43 division. Pass it on if you’re in the Scarborough area. Muslims and Palestinians will want to avoid there if they need to report anything (Also, I fully support the way they’re speaking to the cops. In fact, I think it’s quite restrained. If I had to face someone who ideologically and/or financially was supporting the people who murdered my family, while also preventing me from lawfully protesting about it, while also treating me like a second class citizen, I don’t imagine I would have this type of control.)

In the fight against Genocide, it is illegal in the UK, and carries 14 years in prison, to state or even to imply that you support Hamas or Hezbollah. So please do not do this. However they have not yet found a way to make it a crime to support the state of Iran. I support Iran
