#Wildbluelupine, essential for the #endangered #KarnerBlue butterfly and a part of the #globallythreatened #ecosystem #PineBarrens. For our friends in Iowa, this lovely and important plant is federally threatened. Take care if you’re fortunate enough to find it.

The #Ebonyjewelwing damselfly. The difference between a #dragonfly and a #damselfly? Dragonflies rest with wings open and straight out, and their eyes take up most of the face. Damselflies rest with wings closed and back and have much smaller eyes.
