"Cash 4 Clunkers" was never actually about making things affordable for working families. It was never about the environment. It was about making personal transportation unaffordable, so working families had to move to or stay in blue cities (as opposed to suburbs or rural areas), take public transportation and as a result be more effectively controlled by their Democrat masters.
Handre@Handre

Cash for Clunkers destroyed 690,000 functional vehicles in 2009, creating an artificial scarcity that rippled through used car markets for over a decade. The Obama administration sold this $3 billion program as environmental salvation and economic stimulus, but any free market economist could predict the real outcome: massive wealth destruction disguised as progress. The program forced dealers to pour sodium silicate into engines, permanently destroying cars that poor families could have afforded. Politicians eliminated the bottom tier of the used car market overnight. Suddenly, a reliable $3,000 Honda Civic became a $7,000 Honda Civic (if you could find one). The supposed beneficiaries — working-class Americans who needed affordable transportation — got priced out entirely. Government intervention always creates unseen victims, and Cash for Clunkers delivered them by the millions. Single mothers, college students, and minimum-wage workers watched their mobility options vanish as used car prices soared 30% between 2009 and 2014. The environmental gains proved negligible too: most clunkers averaged 15-17 MPG while replacements hit 24-25 MPG. Destroying half a million cars to improve average fuel economy by 8 MPG represents the kind of central planning that would give Soviet bureaucrats a hard-on. The wealth destruction extended beyond sticker prices. Higher transportation costs forced people into longer payment terms, creating a debt cycle that persists today. Cash for Clunkers normalized 84-month auto loans, turning cars from depreciating assets into multi-year financial anchors. Bureaucrats congratulated themselves for moving inventory off dealer lots while condemning an entire generation to transportation poverty.

If you were wondering why Trump is so damn interested in getting his hands on any uranium in Iran, even the "dust," here's one reason. Once acquired, experts can undertake a process called nuclear forensic analysis (aka provenance determination), whereby it can be determined where the ore originated, and I don't mean in general. They can confirm its origin not only down to the country (or general region) it came from, but also to the mine from which it was extracted. Smart money is on their ore being confirmed to have come from a Uranium mine in Montana. Now stop and consider the implications of that being true, if that's what's ultimately proven. 'Sum of all Fears' energy comes to mind.

Uranium deal to Russia, with Clinton help and Obama Administration knowledge, is the biggest story that Fake Media doesn't want to follow!

Think about this. The Liberals on the court dragged out their dissent on the Dobbs case, even though Alito had asked them not to do so. Why? Because the Conservative justices lives were being threatened. Leftist activists were hoping to take one or more of them out in order to effect the ruling. BIDEN would have appointed their replacements. Bear that in mind as we await the VRA case. They delayed their dissents knowing it put their colleagues at risk, of course they would not hesitate to delay their dissent in the VRA case in order to protect the Democrats in the Midterms. Many Dem appointed judges are Democrat activists first instead of soberly following the law. Which is why they must be kept from power.

Absolutely explosive story from my new behind-the-scenes book ALITO. “Kagan screamed so loudly at liberal ally after Dobbs leak the ‘wall was shaking,' book claims” foxnews.com/politics/kagan… #FoxNews

Four years ago, I lived this horror out. One of my sons was misdiagnosed with a terminal genetic condition and it was a 50/50 coin toss for his brother. For 29 days, we waited for confirmatory testing to see if our entire family was dying. By the grace of God, it was a false alarm. But I remember every second of those 29 days and I wouldn’t wish that experience on my worst enemy. This family needs our help. And as an American solider, this father DESERVES our unconditional support to do everything we can to find a cure. He can’t do this alone, and he shouldn’t have to. Please share, tag others who can help and donate, if you can. @WhiteHouse @RobertKennedyJr @PeteHegseth

Rep. Jamie Raskin has asked the DC Cir. to appoint him as Amicus counsel to oppose the DOJ motion to vacate the Oath Keeper and Proud Boy convictions. The screen shot below is from the Motion filed today by his counsel Justin Sher. Nothing screams louder "I'm a civil litigator and I have no fooking idea what I'm doing" than writing that a trial conviction on appeal is a "final judgment." Criminal convictions are not "Final" until all appeals have been exhausted.

Many you have been following this “Braver Angels” controversy. Data Republican has brilliantly done deep research, you can and should explore that on your own. But after perusing BA’s website and materials myself, I have a far less nuanced view. BA seeks to promote dialogue between the political right and the political left, thinking that doing so is brave, angelic and a path to harmony. My take is that it’s like the sheep wanting to have a dialogue with the wolves. Of course the wolves will agree. Then they eat you. It is, IMO, a delusion to think the left is willing to compromise with the right on ANYTHING. The left wants complete dominion over the right and will settle for nothing less. Now, of course, the BA people will assert that I am a big part of the problem with that attitude. But I say THEY are the problem and they just don’t understand. To support my position, just look at what the left has done to so many sectors of our society: -Academia. -Entertainment. -The mass media. -Social media (pre-Elon). -Law enforcement in blue states. -The courts. -Medicine. -etc. etc. The left NEVER seeks compromise. They only seek absolute dominion. It’s a pipe dream to think otherwise.

🚨🧵 THREAD: Braver Angels says they're bipartisan and just bringing people together. Their own leadership coordinates with an anti-Trump political infrastructure network.🚨 This thread is not about BA's members. Many are sincere, and I thank @wilksopinion and @JohnRWoodJr for communicating with me. This is about the infrastructure steering them: IMIP. On August 18, 2025, Harry Boyte, a former Democratic Socialists of America board member, YES, that DSA announced Maury Giles' new role as Braver Angels CEO on video and their shift in strategy from depolarization to civic action: "David has put together a featured plenary at the National Conference on Citizenship... which will be a launch of a new stage for Braver Angels that some of us have been working on for a while." IMIP is the Inter-Movement Impact Project. It coordinates BA's strategic direction. Its own May 2025 document quotes David Brooks approvingly: "Short term: Stop Trump. Foil his efforts. Pile on the lawsuits." Braver Angels' members are bipartisan. Their leadership is adjacent to anti-Trump infrastructure. This thread has all the receipts. As always, patience as I pull together the thread.👇

The political realignment of American Jews given the open embrace of antisemitism by the Democrats (masquerading as "antizionism") appears to continue in 2026. A 70% shift in votes in traditionally ironclad Democratic city of Livingston, New Jersey from D to R is beyond huge. The city has only about 17% registered Republican voters, as of 2022. Now is the time for the Republican Party to continue to distinguish itself from the Democrats, the party of modern woke Brownshirts since October 8, 2023. But this requires the Republican Party to continue its mostly successful efforts thus far in resisting the influence of the woke right antisemites like Tucker Carlson, Candace Owens, MTG, and others in its actual policy positions. The Democrats not only failed to resist the antisemitism of the woke left, they embraced it with only a few standout exceptions, such as Senator Fetterman and Rep. Torres. The most recent example: almost the entire Democratic caucus in the Senate voted this week (many of whom voted a third time in the past two years) to impose an arms embargo on Israel. 40 Democratic Senators voted to deny arms and equipment that U.S. ally Israel purchases solely on the basis of pro-Hamas or pro-Hezbollah propaganda, such as a "genocide" in Gaza. This is only the most recent example of too many to count in past 2 years of how Democrats have embraced the woke left and its virulent antisemitism. Notably, not a single Republican Senator joined the Israel embargo resolution voted for by 40 Democratic Senators. Hopefully, the Republicans will continue to demonstrate their moral compass and integrity on this key issue, in contrast to the Democrats who have tolerated or openly embraced the antisemitism and nihilism of Hasan Piker and so many others in its base.

Livingston New Jersey, one of the most Jewish districts in NJ, just swung a whole 70%(!!!!) Regardless of your politics, If you don't understand the extent to which Jewish life in America feels under threat, you have no idea what Jews are in the world have been going through.

Remember that Jamie Raskin voted to deny DOJ possession of a thousand transcripts of interviews re Jan 6. That meant the Court could not order DOJ to turn them over to defendants. Then the Comm Raskin was on destroyed those transcripts before the GOP took back over control of the House. I will be opposing Raskin’s effort on behalf of my client.

Thank you. Ironic note: my husband was convicted of ONE charge related to J6: Tampering with Evidence, for allegedly recalling 11 'selfie' photos from one private text message - DOJ tried to claim he was guilty of 'hiding' them. Problem is: all of these original photos (with timestamps) are STILL on his phone & still available on numerous other text messages on his phone. He destroyed / tampered with NOTHING. For this heinous 'crime', the DOJ tried to put him in prison for four years. Seems to me that Raskin & others ACTUALLY destroyed tons of evidence. Maybe they need to go to prison for four years or more.

Just In: From Just the News, we are learning that Former Federal Prosecutor and Special Counsel Joseph diGenova will be leading the Florida Prosecutors in the GJ Investigation into John Brennan and others. This after the lead prosecutor was removed from her post and sent back to Miami. According to Solomon's report, the investigation is being hampered further by John Thune who is allegedly slow walking the Senate transcripts that are being requested for the Grand Jury. More to follow

This is a textbook example of the Left’s thorough ignorance of anything military. And it’s what vets, like me, refer to as #StolenValor. Amanpour, noted progressive and CNN useful idiot, attacked @PeteHegseth’s rank during his service in the Army. Pete was promoted to the rank of Major and served in combat as a SOLDIER. Amanpour embeded as a correspondent during the Gulf War. To accommodate the press, the Pentagon assigned journalists the ADMINISTRATIVE rank of major for access and billeting arrangements. Nothing more. In her attack on Pete, she equates his rank to hers. From a vet’s perspective, that’s revolting and untrue. @amanpour couldn’t carry Pete’s sweat-stained boot socks much less the responsibility of leading men in combat. To portend to do so is both insulting and illustrative. To Democrats and anti-American media, you don’t get it and you never will. Out.
