@lexi_lambda @cutculus @whyevernotso Whether you *can* do something in a programming language differs from whether you *would* do something. Strongly opinionated languages sculpt UX and productivity beyond the sum of their features or lack thereof. Notation and culture matters more than often expected.

@cutculus @whyevernotso I understand why a concatenative style is sometimes nice, since it’s the same reasons why point-free style is sometimes nice. What I don’t understand is why you would want the whole language to operate that way. What does that buy you that writing point-free Haskell doesn’t?

It only just dawned on me this evening that point-free programming is essentially programming in a concatenative language. This does not help me understand any better why some people like FORTH so much.
