@Locutus84904647 If you are looking for Space Operas, not just space Sci-Fi(Of those you listed, only Star Wars is really considered Space Opera), I would look for Buck Rogers and Flash Gordon, especially if you can find the old serials, and Battle Beyond the Stars.

@Isa_11_AC @rorynotsorry Sometimes, what is holding us back just needs a push. While I would not use GLP-1s, myself, they can be the thing someone needs to start. I would not judge someone for using them. Because, sometimes, anything to get you started is what you need. (2/2)

Just one more comment on the GLP1 crowd. My mother is severely obese. She is 76 years old. A few months ago she went on GLP1s and has lost 40lbs. She is more active now. Her blood work has improved. Is their argument that I should be calling up my mom and calling her lazy and a cheater?

@HobbyAfterDark I admit, I like the markers because they are no clean-up or set-up. Just grab a marker, and start painting on your primed, under-coated minis. It helps me keep painting, even when depression is hitting.

This is the kind of work I've found the pens to be best for. (And for Cosplay work)

@periplamodel I have Ultramarines and Blood Angels that I am painting to the official paint schemes, I have Space Wolves that I am painting Gray to reflect the Heresy era scheme, and I have my own homebrew Marine Chapter that I paint in Jungle Camo. It really is whatever you prefer.

When I was in the hospital a lot when I was young, my dad would sneak Krystals in for me. Yeah, healthy food might be good, but patient morale...

@DrSarahAxelrath People were upset I let my daughter have ice cream when she had brain cancer Because the sugar apparently was going to feed the cancer But.. if she was in the hospital having chemo and getting traumatized by needles etc, she was getting some gosh darn chocolate ice cream

If my self-righteous daughter ever tries to deny me orange Fanta when I’m dying in the hospital from brain cancer, I’m writing her out of the will and calling security.

@HobbyAfterDark @NevEngi I know my parents, who were from New Jersey, used the terms like so: Grilling is what you did, Barbecue was what the gathering of people for grilling was called.

Barbecue = Slower cooking, more focused on seasoning and spices, and tends to be done to large pieces of meat that are cut up after being cooked. Grilling = Cooking a cut of meat, like a steak, over intense heat quickly. The term 'Barbeque Grill' is an english marketing term that causes confusion here too. The image I shared is what we use slang to call a 'Barbeque Grill'. Even though you wouldn't make traditional barbeque in it.

@Isa_11_AC @BSmithBenS So, there have been some instances where someone who was not an organ donor still had their organs harvested because the people "didn't see" the person wasn't...either due to damage to the ID, not having the ID, what not, and the family not knowing the person's wishes.

@BSmithBenS My license says I’m an organ donor If you don’t want to be you say you don’t want to be and then on the back the box doesn’t get checked

If you don’t consent to organ donation you can ‘opt out’ online and it’s completely free. You do not need to give a grifting sausage money for a useless card, bracelet or pendant. JFC 🤦🏻‍♂️
