Chepauk isn't bothered today to turn up at start of play. There was more crowd for the Afg v NZ T20 WC game. This is a weekend ODI, and people not turning up, tells me something about the opposition, the format, or the context of a random bilateral. How are you reading this?

@SuryaFTBL @SukhanGill01 Not necessarily. Saul wore the armband during Durand (except the first two games), IFA Shield, and Super Cup even when Mahesh was playing alongside. The coach decides who gets to wear the armband.

@SuryaFTBL @SukhanGill01 Rakip and Nunga aren't contracted with EB as of this moment. Also, announced captains don't always wear the armband. Last season, Mahesh was the announced captain, but even when he was playing, the armband was mostly with Saul.

@streetfrontier Nonapukur has built AC tram rakes in the past. Genuinely asking, what technical advantages do imported rakes have to offer apart from sleeker designs? I think the initial focus should be on restarting closed routes and bringing back dedicated tracks.

It gives me immense joy to see plans for procuring trams from abroad finally begin to take shape. > In my previous post, i had advocated for import route simply because we currently lack the manufacturing expertise or the ecosystem to support modern tram coaches... plus its quicker to buy off the shelf and gradually move the construction over to local factories. I am glad the state govt is considering the same. > Kolkata and Melbourne share more than 30 years of tram association in form or "tramjatra festival" that is conducted in both cities on a regular basis. > The state govt is considering expanding the routes based on feasibility study and is looking at few proposals from Australia for upgradation .... > Melbourne has started to deploy state of the art G-class tram rakes from a joint venture of Alstom, UGL Rail and CAF, that can carry 150 passengers with seating for 48.... @panenka_goal He is a decent backup option. He didn't play much last season, having joined late and used mostly as a sub, but he did well whenever called upon (he also played 2 games as a when Crespo was injured). Not really fair to use the emoji you did for him.

@TheSanjivKapoor Only one the third picture is from Kolkata (Sector V). The first one looks like New Town, but if you zoom in, you can see overhead wires on the metro viaduct. Kolkata Metro doesn't use overhead wires (not even in the new lines).

Once completed, 24/29 full Ballygunge-Tollygunge Route via Rashbehari can be restarted. Kalighat Depo is located at very near good exact location on front of temple. There also, tram routes can be started.
