I have been thinking about this lately: attention has always had monetary value. Newspapers captured it. TV networks captured it. Then Google and Meta built the most efficient attention machines ever created, and for a decade the assumption was that centralized platforms would own this game permanently. Then something shifted. Audiences started trusting people over brands and institutions. Creators with 500 deeply engaged followers started moving more product and ideas than campaigns with million-dollar budgets. The legacy model responded by adding more layers: agencies hiring KOLs to simulate authenticity. The result is expensive, opaque, and increasingly unconvincing. @RallyOnChain did not arrive as a better agency. It removed the agency entirely. Creators publish content. Intelligent contracts on GenLayer evaluate alignment, accuracy, originality, and engagement potential. Every score is public. Rewards flow directly from escrow, on-chain, no negotiation. For the first time, genuine insight and authentic distribution can be measured and compensated correctly. Not because of a policy change, but because the verification layer that never existed before now exists. The core problem with traditional advertising was always information asymmetry. Brands could not verify real impact. Creators could not prove their actual value. Every intermediary in that chain exists because verification was impossible. Verification is no longer impossible. When influence infrastructure runs on GenLayer for AI verification, Base and zkSync Era for token distribution, and LayerZero for cross-chain communication, intermediaries do not just become less useful. They become structurally unnecessary. The next decade will not be won by the project with the largest ad budget. It will be won by the project that builds the most authentic distribution network, one verified post at a time. This is not a new platform. This is new influence infrastructure. Which gets disrupted first: the agency model or the KOL model?
