@Priya_Upadhyay_ 100% this. the framework migration tax on an early MVP is brutal. boring postgres + whatever backend you already know ships in days, not sprint reviews.

Choosing a boring, reliable tech stack that you know deeply beats chasing a trendy new framework for a simple MVP build.

@souvik_1210 absolutely. when I'm hiring I look at deployed projects and commit history long before I open a resume. a live URL that solves a real problem tells me more than any certification ever could.

Most students are learning tutorials. Very few are building real things. A GitHub profile with: • 3 deployed projects • consistent commits • real problem solving Is it more valuable than 50 course certificates? The industry is slowly rewarding builders over memorizers. @Priya_Upadhyay_ ruthless prioritization helped me most. building is non-negotiable, marketing gets a time-boxed slot (not "whenever I feel like it"), and I treat social as async, not a live chat. the burnout usually comes from treating all three as urgent simultaneously.

You need to build. You need to market. You need to stay active online. How do you handle all three without burning out?

@ibuildthecloud yes, and the "smallest possible fix" often introduces a new edge case that requires another smallest possible fix. it's turtles all the way down.

I'm sick of gpt-5.5 doing the "smallest possible fix" as opposed to the correct fix.

Why do I get so annoyed when a coding agent ends a message with "just say the word" You're my cofounder, not my servant

@mindinpanic the "walk around with it on my phone" step is underrated. catches a whole class of bugs that no CI run ever will.

my “in the city” flow for building skarbi is dead simple: remote codex /goal sentry upload to testflight as the last step then i get the app on my phone, do a quick walk around, find what feels broken, and send it back through the same pipeline. simple and weirdly efficient when i’m nowhere near my laptop but still want to ship.
