There are frequent debates in India about what exactly forced the British to grant us Independence in 1947. It was a combination of factors that included a war-weary Britain, and the long-running political mobilisation in India. However, the fear of guerrilla warfare by the revolutionaries, and the possibility of a revolt in the Indian armed forces (esp after INA & Naval revolt) played a major role. We do not need to debate this because Prime Minister Attlee has explicitly noted this in the Transfer of Power papers (Nov 1946). Today, India takes a defining step in its civil nuclear journey, advancing the second stage of its nuclear programme. The indigenously designed and built Prototype Fast Breeder Reactor at Kalpakkam has attained criticality. This advanced reactor, capable of producing more fuel than it consumes, reflects the depth of our scientific capability and the strength of our engineering enterprise. It is a decisive step towards harnessing our vast thorium reserves in the third stage of the programme. A proud moment for India. Congratulations to our scientists and engineers.

One good thing is that David simply didn’t know that this is an Indian Pranayama and after discovering its roots acknowledges and attributes the Indian origins. Indians need to write more high quality detailed research papers about our Yoga and Pranayama practices because many times people are willing to attribute but simply don’t know about the origins of these systems and exercises.

US B-2 bombs Three Nuclear Sites in Iran: From Deterrence to Destruction Against the backdrop of rising Iran-Israel tensions, in the early morning of June 22, the United States entered the conflict by deploying a fleet of B-2 Spirit stealth bombers to strike three Iranian nuclear facilities. A total of 6 to 12 GBU-57A/B MOP (Massive Ordnance Penetrator) 30,000lb “Bunker Buster” Bombs were dropped by U.S. Air Force B-2A “Spirit” Long-Range Stealth Bombers on the Fordow Nuclear Facility. At the same time, 30 BGM-109 “Tomahawk” Land-Attack Cruise Missiles (TLAMs) were launched from submarines with the U.S. Navy at the Natanz and Isfahan Nuclear Facilities. The three targeted sites—Fordow, Isfahan, and Natanz—are considered the crown jewels of Iran’s nuclear program, with Fordow serving as a key uranium enrichment plant. Located at a point deeper than the English Channel, Fordow was targeted with the GBU-57 Massive Ordnance Penetrator (MOP), also known as the "Bunker Buster”.
