@lewanlamine The fix is to have college football fans. It’s all about the fanbase. Have to fix it from within.

@teocal_cruz @fiago7 @RyanGOATehill Which of the big 4 sports get bigger viewership than the World Cup in the USA? The World Cup is getting more viewership than the nba finals and the playoffs haven’t even started yet. So not sure what you mean by “dwarfed” when the ratings for the World Cup dwarf other sports

Fiago, love your content, you’re great. MLS still has a LONG way to go until it reaches MLB or NHL level. MLB is quite literally America’s pastime for the past century and the NHL is really damn big in America. No doubt Soccer is growing but it will take a while before it overtakes any big 4 American sports. Love you but this isn’t it.
𝗙𝗜𝗔𝗚𝗢 🇩🇪@fiago7

@BarryOnHere I know this will hurt you to hear but ⚽️ has already overtaken NHL & MLB in the United States buddy, it‘s on the rise and will only keep growing 📈

@awndrezawndrez The people who live in Mexico and can drop $5000 on their family to see the game don’t live in Guadalajara. The people who live outside of Mexico don’t want to go to Guadalajara. There’s basically no reason for games to be in Guadalajara

@USMNTBaldEagle The other match at Guadalajara was also low attendance. People don’t want to go to Guadalajara. It was a terrible idea by FIFA. The only people at that match are Mexicans and there’s not enough of them who can afford $2000 tickets.

Kind of an embarrassment amount of empty seats in Guadalajara right now. Mexico 🇲🇽 can't even fill up their own stadium. Would like to blame FIFA prices but almost every other game has been way more full 🤷‍♂️

@Stevinho21 The instruments aren’t allowed in the stadium so how would they do that. The band would be without their instruments

@starsnstripesfc Guadalajara was a terrible idea. So was Monterrey. All their games have lots of empty seats. People don’t want to go there.

@Stevinho21 The “American Outlaws” refuse to do chants that are “mean” and only do elementary nursery rhyme types that are family friendly and such. Stuff that isn’t passionate or powerful. “Come on team, score those goals” type cheers

@the_bonnfire Who cares. He’s just another guy on the team. We have plenty of guys to fill in. People act like pulisic is the entire team.

A player who does not fully train in the MD-1 session is almost certainly not ready to start a match the following day. Either the #USMNT staff is being overtly cautious with Pulisic, or he is not 100% and will not start — or play entirely — tomorrow.
Henry Bushnell@HenryBushnell

The only glimpse we got of Christian Pulisic today: walking to join a pre-warmup huddle, trailed by performance/medical staffers. He subsequently went into the gym and did not start the training session with teammates. 24 hours til kickoff vs. Australia. Poch will speak later.

This is brutal stuff for the USA. Brutal chant and even though I’ve only been a soccer guy for 7 minutes I know this is a poor knockoff from the Netherlands

@Wes_nship USA soccer needs to become mainstream so that mainstream sports fans lead the supporters section. The type of people burning down cars in New York for the Knicks are who I want in our supporters section. Belligerent ignorant madmen. The best kind.

@Longshoe It’s the highest scoring WC because half of the teams are dreadful with no defense and shouldn’t be in the World Cup to begin with.

I get that it's the cool thing to complain about and boo the hydration break, but I don't think it's an accident that this is the highest scoring World Cup since 1958. It's making the games better IMO. And the booing then turning into a singalong with Country Roads is funny.

@GongR1ght Draws are only upsets if the team doesn’t end up advancing out of the group stage

It’s crazy how there have been absolutely no upsets in the first round of the group stage at this World Cup. I don’t consider a draw an upset in a format that basically allows teams to draw one or two matches. In Qatar, we saw Saudi Arabia beat Argentina and Japan beat Germany in the group stage itself. In Russia, we saw Germany lose to Mexico. In Brazil, you had Costa Rica shocking everyone against Uruguay and even in South Africa you had Switzerland winning against Spain in the first round of group stages.
