3 years ago, I was fighting against the introduction of KZG (and trusted setup) on Ethereum for protodanksharding. I was advocating for exploring FRI based alternatives, @VitalikButerin did some exploratory from my suggestions. Unfortunately it did not go deeper and we went through with KZG because of some pressure. Now, Fusaka is live. It's time to think about quantum proof plans for everything. It was one of the design goals of "Ethereum 2.0". Time to build from First Principles. I am so glad that Starknet adopted this philosophy from day one. It's the hardest path initially, but it's worth it. When you have solid foundations nothing is impossible. It means also that we have the full sovereignty on our roadmap, and we can iterate blazingly fast and keep trailblazing. Remove all elliptic curve pairing operations, move to hash based ZK for everything. Time to prove the world, one STARK at a time!
