Just remember after pensioners finished working hard all their working lives in order to receive a paltry small pension, these same pensioners are now helping to look after their own grandchildren free of charge so their children can work & not have to pay for childcare.
Also these same pensioners are helping to look after their own elderly parents as they are living much longer.
So to all these people out there that keep moaning about pensioners, they are still doing their bit to keep this country going.

But they cannot argue or dispute the unfairness of a working person on a regular salary - not being happy about earning less through work than someone earns on benefits

What I genuinely don’t understand about people like Sophie Corcoran is how someone who is clearly working class ends up acting as a mouthpiece for billionaires like Ratcliffe or comfortably wealthy pensioners while simultaneously complaining about having to work bank holidays just to scrape by. At some point you have to confront the contradiction: you’re not defending “success,” you’re defending a system that is actively squeezing you. Carrying water for people whose wealth depends on keeping your wages low is not going to win you brownie points with them. Trust me.

The younger generation haven't thought this one through:
"Sell your 3 bed house grandma, buy a studio flat and live off the sale proceeds instead of getting a state pension".
Then young entitled grandson won't inherit his grandma's half a million pound house but a grotty fifty grand flat that he can't sell but is liable for the huge monthly management fees. And grandma has spent all the sale proceeds of her big house.
