I'm just tired of this echo chamber that doesn't seem to achieve anything tangible. Those few of you who know me in real life know where I can be found in the unlikely event that you want me. Sorry for being down - I'm okay in myself, really. Wishing you all well.

My #writing pitches fall into a black hole, and the same half a dozen people respond to my tweets (and I am grateful to them) despite #fbf and #socialistsunday efforts. All in all, I'm utterly disenchanted with everything beyond my four walls, so I'm taking a #Twitter break.

Neither @UKParliament nor @WelshGovernment are going to shift from the paltry pay "rises" to public sector workers, least of all #NHS #nurses - they know we have a sense of duty. Our union is too 'apolitical' to call for a strike. Even @UKLabour now frowns on industrial action.

IMO @RishiSunak and @trussliz are no improvement on Johnson and I have little hope of 10 gammons in the Home Counties choosing the lesser of two evils. Brexit is a disaster. The Tories are not going to do anything to alleviate the #CostOfLivingCrisis - why would they?

@ChristineBore I know how you feel - I came so close to ill-health retirement twice in the last few years and feel it'll happen if I'm off again. Your efforts changed lives. And you're always a nurse - it's in our DNA. Wishing you peace.

Hi All👋 I have had a tough day. My last work meeting with NHS. My contract terminated today due to my ill health & terminal diagnosis. I knew this would happen but my heart feels broken 💔 No longer a nurse. I worked as a Specialist and met some wonderful patients and staff 💞

@auldyth Try @tweetbot - although not free itself it IS free of bots, algorithmic nonsense and people you follow in real time tweet order and worth the dosh - I now only use the real Twitter for all my other fragmented and dissociated personalities 👍

@andylancelot @PfawrDavid That somehow makes more sense than most of the 21st century. Exvept, of course, I definitely wouldn't be having a night shift nap, wrapped in my nurses cape with a pastel honeycomb blanket, with 'The Hit Man and Her' inexplicably on the ward television.

@PfawrDavid @auldyth We’ll all wake up one day to find we are having a nap during a night shift in the North Wales Hospital, Denbigh and none of this has happened, the internet doesn’t exist and we are still in the EU

Rare proper anxiety dream about being late for work (by 5hrs) because I was watching a prize-giving ceremony. I am grateful for my alarm waking me. Unless it didn’t and this is part of the dream...
