@auraoun you are lucky. :-). I was three when the war started in Beirut. Lived through it and left in the 90s.

Furthermore... Whole Foods soup was our go to meal during my dad's hospital stays. This afternoon I walked by it and an older woman with broken English stopped me to help her decide if a particular soup would be a healthy option bc she just learned she has a kidney problem

I rarely see my dad in my dreams but last night, I saw him laying down and I moved to lay next to him preparing a blanket over us as a rain storm was coming. Right at that moment my alarm clock went off. I'm so mad
