Some people are heartless wallahi, I lost my dad a while back, and it still hurt me that some of the people I have respect for never even called, rashin tausayi ne ko rashin sanin zafin mutuwa ne I don’t even know. And believe me we held no grudges against each other then.

I really feel that. Losing my dad changed everything for me. It was like the world dimmed overnight. That was the last time I remember being genuinely happy and since then nothing’s felt whole again. Allah ya jikan iyayen mu da suka rasu ya kara ma wanda suke raye Lafiya.

Almost losing my dad showed me a kind of helplessness I’d never felt. When death comes close, you realise you have zero power. No begging, no strength, nothing, except turning to Allah. That level of helplessness humbled me.
